I didn’t jump right in to the moto jacket trend for myself or for my daughter, but an impulse buy at Target last August launched an obsession. We were on our way to the state fair, about a 40-minute drive away, and I had run in to buy something — sunscreen, maybe? — and was walking out through the baby clothes section when this jacket stopped me in my tracks:
It was an impulse buy I would go on to never, ever regret.
With R just having outgrown last year’s OshKosh jacket, I couldn’t resist acquiring a replacement when it presented itself at H&M (see No. 1, below). I love the round, collarless neck and the rose gold-tone hardware. I bought up a size, as I did with last year’s jacket; that means not only can I get more wear out of it, but as it gets colder out I’ll be able to layer it with hoodies and sweaters.
In rounding up a selection of tiny moto jackets of various styles and price points, I didn’t find as many options marketed for toddler boys (this one at Target is super cute), although I don’t think there’s any reason a boy couldn’t pull off any of the options below.
There’s also this $525 Gucci cotton jacket, which is far beyond what I’d ever care to pay for an item of clothing for my toddler, but if that’s in your price range, knock yourself out.
What’s your little one rocking for fall outerwear?
